Our Beliefs

GOD

We believe in the one ever-living, eternal God: infinite in power, holy in nature, attributes and purpose; and possessing absolute, indivisible deity. This one true God has revealed Himself as Father, through His Son in redemption, and as the Holy Spirit dwelling within us.

THE BIBLE

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, a divine revelation from God to man. We accept the scriptures as the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Christ is the son of God, born of a virgin; He lived a sinless life, was crucified on Calvary for our sins, and bodily rose from the grave; and that He has been exalted to the throne of God where He is the only mediator between God and man. We believe that through His death and life, we have personal salvation and power for victorious living.

SALVATION

All men have sinned and stand in need of redemption, which is obtained through the new birth by faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Those who repent of sin and are born again become children of God and heirs with Christ.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is active in the world today and the baptism of the Holy Spirit is for everyone.

THE CHURCH

We believe that the Church has been “called out” of the world to be a habitation of God through the Spirit. As the body of Christ on earth, the Church offers hope to mankind. The Church is one body made up of many members, diverse in their gifts and calling of the Holy Spirit.

THE SECOND COMING

We believe in the return of Jesus Christ to receive His bride, the Church, unto Himself. At His coming, we believe the dead in Christ will be resurrected from the grave. We also believe in Christ’s millennial reign upon the Earth.

Our Leadership

Tony Copple

Senior Pastor

A graduate of Jackson College of Ministries, has been active in full-time ministry for over 40 years. After pastoring a church in Michigan for seven years, he and his family relocated to Turlock in 1993. As Senior Pastor of TCLC he strives to help people from all walks of life succeed in living for God. Pastor Copple's early ministry was youth-oriented and today, he continues to work with and encourage young people to be successful and, more importantly, to develop a closer walk with God. He and his wife Jan, along with their four children, are also passionate about helping people experience the Land of Israel through Copple Family Tours.

Benjamin Copple

Youth Pastor

Youth pastor at TCLC and leader of SURGE Student Ministries. His ultimate goal in serving young people is to help them make it to heaven. In conjunction with this goal, one of his major focuses is guiding young people through junior high and high school while helping them develop a strong relationship with God. In addition, Benjamin, who has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and is working on a Master of Arts in English, is passionate about education and helping young people develop their talents for God.

Dinah Copple

Young Adult Pastor

Serves as the Relevant Young Adult pastor and the special events coordinator at Turlock Christian Life Center. Her passion is to help young adults know and understand the Bible so that they can be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks them the reason for the hope that is within them (I Peter 3:15). Her desire is to help young adults find their place and personal ministry within the kingdom of God. Dinah loves traveling to Israel and wants to take others with her so that they too can experience the land of the Bible. Dinah received her Bachelor's and Master's degree at CSU Stanislaus where she works as a program manager.

Jhon Castiblanco

Multicultural Ministry Pastor

Serves as the multicultural ministry pastors at TCLC. Their passion is to see lives transformed by the power and grace of God amongst all cultures. Through Centro Vida Cristiana, they are bringing the good news of salvation and hope in Christ to the lost and hurting. Jhon was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia and came to the United States at 17 years old. He attended Christian Life College in Stockton, CA where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology. Jhon and Heather were married in 2008 and now have two beautiful children.
